Keep Russia Closer
You can do a lot with diplomacy, but
with diplomacy backed up by
force, you can get a lot more done.
Kofi Annan
Former Secretary of The United Nations
Communist China’s rise to a major world superpower is primarily due to the U.S. and Europe. The new Cold War is far more dangerous because we have made China rich. The world is divided into two rival superpowers: China and the United States. Russia can tip the scales of world power by virtue of being a nuclear superpower. It is in America’s interest to move Russia closer to our side, rather than aligning its power with China’s. Russia is a European power; let’s keep it that way, albeit with a NATO military wall.
Following the impending peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine, increasing trade with Russia is expected to coincide with a decrease in trade with China. Russia must find a future of economic development, social progress, and peace in a rekindled relationship with the U.S. and its allies.
